Civil Engineering Project Manager - Land Development
Compensation: $130,000-$165,000 DOE + Bonus + Profit Sharing
A well-established and highly respected civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to lead projects, mentor staff, build client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of a successful organization.
The ideal candidate will oversee design teams and consultant partners, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction.
What You'll Do- Manage land development and site development projects from concept through construction
- Lead project teams and coordinate subconsultants
- Develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and contract negotiations
- Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans
- Maintain and grow strong client relationships
- Mentor and develop engineering staff
- Oversee quality control throughout project delivery
- Provide technical guidance and leadership on civil engineering projects
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal project stakeholders
- Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development
- PE license (Arizona preferred) or ability to obtain shortly after hire
- Strong background in site development, residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
- Demonstrated success managing projects, budgets, schedules, and teams
- Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
