** The Opportunity*
* Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity to join our growing national Corrosion and Cathodic Protection practice within the Infrastructure Advisory Technical Delivery team. This role supports a diverse portfolio of projects involving pipelines, tanks, and related infrastructure across water, energy, power generation, and other infrastructure markets.

Within our corrosion practice, we continue to see strong demand for cathodic protection design and corrosion engineering services associated with both new and existing infrastructure.

This position is intended for an experienced cathodic protection professional with a strong background in engineering design. The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing galvanic and impressed current cathodic protection systems, preparing engineering calculations and design documents, evaluating existing systems, and providing technical direction to project teams and junior professionals.

The role also includes field investigations, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities to support design development and verify system performance; however, the primary focus of the position is cathodic protection engineering and design.

This position provides the opportunity to:

+ Lead the design of cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and related metallic infrastructure.

+ Develop design criteria, engineering calculations, equipment selections, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical design documentation.

+ Evaluate existing cathodic protection systems and develop rehabilitation, replacement, and optimization recommendations.

+ Apply field data, soil resistivity information, interference studies, and system performance data to engineering design decisions.

+ Lead technical deliverables and communicate design approaches, alternatives, and recommendations directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

+ Provide technical review and mentoring to junior engineers and consultants.

+ Participate in field investigations, commissioning, and troubleshooting to support design development and verify installed system performance.

+ Contribute to project pursuits, scope and fee development, and growth of Black & Veatch's national corrosion practice.
