What

This Role Will Do
  • Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
  • Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
  • Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
  • Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift
  • Check identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue
  • Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat‑down search
  • Enforce venue policy regarding photos / videos / recording devices
  • Safeguard against theft and property damage
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights and remain in constant contact throughout the shift
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises
  • Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuration, etc.)
  • Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles before, during and after the shift
  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue, including collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs or barricades
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work late hours and flexible schedule
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
  • Pass a mandatory background check
Preferred
  • Three years work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
  • Experience in a live music environment
  • Experience in a security role
  • Experience using metal detection equipment
Physical Demands / Working Environment
  • Fast‑paced, often loud and stressful environment
  • Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to lift or move 25 lbs. or more using proper lifting techniques
