Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for the on‑stage, backstage, show settlement, and technical details of concerts and events at Live Nation‑operated venues.
Responsibilities- Coordinate between tour/client production and the Live Nation venue, obtaining presale technical information, rider requirements, staging and capacity changes.
- Interface with local contractors, tours, clients renting venues and venue production teams for all show requirements, including stagehands, runners, security, casual labor and rental equipment, emphasizing quality, reliability and cost.
- Manage day‑of‑show operations from load‑in to load‑out, ensuring customer service, adherence to schedules, sound restrictions and cost containment.
- Handle show accounting and settlement with artists, including vendor payments.
- Track labor costs and maintain budgets for cost‑effective operations.
- Coordinate and manage approved subcontractors and third‑party vendors for safe and successful events.
- Assist in onboarding and training production staff, ensuring readiness and adherence to best practices.
- 5+ years of live event or concert production experience (music venue or touring environment preferred).
- Experience with technical elements integral to live entertainment: audio, lighting, video, electrical and staging (artist hospitality experience a plus).
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated, hands‑on attitude, thriving in results‑oriented settings.
- Flexible schedule (days/nights, late/long hours, weekends and holidays).
- Implementation and execution of Live Nation policies, procedures and programs.
- Work well under pressure, calm temperament.
- Make clear, concise decisions with limited information.
- Computer proficiency in Windows (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable working in high‑energy, loud environment, standing, lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Strong professional references.
- Fast‑paced, loud and stressful environment.
- Extended periods of standing, lifting, bending, reaching; work on feet.
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 lbs using proper techniques.
- Tolerance of loud noise.
- Must be able to wear a radio earpiece during shift.
