Job Title: Dispensary Associate – Part-Time
Department: Retail
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Regular Non-Exempt
Pay: $15.15 per hour (also eligible for tips)
The Dispensary Associate is responsible for guiding a customer on their journey into cannabis by educating them on the benefits and potential side effects. In this role, the associate must be knowledgeable enough to speak to customers about various products and their effects while providing excellent customer service. The primary function is to facilitate a customer’s purchase per State regulations and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
KeyDuties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers, guests, and coworkers.
- Provide empathy and compassion to patients.
- Deliver the Tru Experience through elevated patient service standards, behaviors, and product knowledge.
- Assist Managers and Shift Supervisors with returns in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare and process patient orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow Trulieve Policies and Procedures.
- Work directly with the leader on duty to enhance the customer experience.
- Assist customers with any product or device issues.
- Work with leadership and management to find solutions to customer issues.
- Document customer issues and concerns on the customer's profile.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked workstation throughout the shift.
- Perform any other task(s) as assigned by Management.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
- Follow all Trulieve Policies and Procedures as a delivery associate.
- Assist with processing all online orders, including deliveries, within a 2-hour timeframe.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent and experience in a related field.
- Minimum age 21 (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV).
- Prior experience in retail and/or customer service is a plus.
- Prior cash handling experience.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and with a variety of personalities.
- Excellent people skills and effective communication in both verbal and written form.
- Can work effectively without supervision and in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism; can uphold confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions.
- Ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely.
- Converse English proficiency; can operate electronic equipment (computer, laptop) and telecommunication devices.
- Has the mental and physical capacity necessary to perform job duties.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for delivery driver role.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that function adequately for the position.
- Should function independently, be flexible, have personal integrity, and work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and occasionally hostile individuals.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Move throughout the entire facility, including confined spaces.
- Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public.
- Observe/inspect details at varying ranges.
- Operate computing devices.
- Manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery). Push or pull objects up to 50 lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 50 lbs; ascend or descend stool, ladder, or steps; position self or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl).
- Occasionally remain seated.
Flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
BenefitsComprehensive benefits package including paid time off. Position works up to 25 hours per week and may be available “after hours” based on business needs.
