The Tone
The Tone:
This is an internship at Phoenix Suns, located in Phoenix, AZ. The Phoenix Suns is a part of Player 15 Group, a sports and entertainment company that operates the Phoenix Suns (NBA), Phoenix Mercury (WNBA), Valley Suns (G League), and Mortgage Matchup Center. This role is crucial in supporting the planning and execution of revenue department events, which helps the company create unforgettable memories for its fans, partners, and the community.
The intern will assist with managing invites, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring all logistical details are addressed to maintain a high standard of event experiences.

Support the planning and execution of premium events and experiences to ensure smooth operations and high-quality guest service for partners and members. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), event management software
- Event Administration:
Help with administrative duties such as preparing event materials, managing RSVP lists, developing run of shows, event budgeting, and updating event documentation for revenue department events. - On-Site Event Operations:
Support on-site event activities, including setup, breakdown, and managing event flow, traveling in-market for pickups and drop-offs as needed. - Cross-Departmental & Vendor Coordination:
Work closely with internal departments and third-party vendors to support member and partner events, hospitality functions, and in-market activations. - Guest Service & Interaction:
Provide exceptional service to event guests by greeting attendees and addressing inquiries to ensure a positive experience. - Performance Evaluation:
Participate in post-event evaluations to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement of event processes and outcomes.
- Background:
High school diploma or GED is required. Candidates must currently be a college junior, senior, or enrolled in a master’s program. - Experience:
Previous experience in event planning or hospitality is considered a plus but is not a strict requirement. A genuine interest in the events industry and a willingness to learn are highly valued. - Skills:
Demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A commitment to providing high-quality service and creating a positive guest experience is also required. - Bonus:
Preferred candidates will be pursuing a hospitality, event management, or sports related degree. Familiarity with event management software is also considered an advantage.
