We are hiring a Legal Billing & Collections Specialist to take full ownership of billing and accounts receivable operations for a fast-growing, high-performance professional services firm.
This is a client-facing role responsible for protecting cash flow, maintaining financial accuracy, and ensuring work is performed on financially compliant cases. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients, attorneys, and the finance team on all billing matters.
This is ideal for someone who:

This is not entry-level, not sales, and not a legal position.
What You’ll Own- End-to-end billing and accounts receivable processes
- Managing and monitoring payment plans
- Resolving declined or failed payments
- Processing refunds and account adjustments
- Communicating directly with clients regarding balances and payment expectations
- Ensuring attorneys are working only on financially compliant matters
- Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple systems
- Partnering with the Financial Controller to improve workflows and SOPs
- Clean and accurate billing data
- Reduced payment failures and aged receivables
- Professional, solutions-focused client interactions
- Improved internal billing workflows
- 3+ years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable
- Confidence leading firm but professional financial conversations
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High integrity and discretion
- Experience with legal billing software (Clio preferred)
- Experience with Quick Books
- Background in professional services or legal environments
