Join a rapidly growing commercial roofing and waterproofing contractor serving Arizona and the greater Southwest region. Our projects range from large-scale commercial reroofs and new construction to complex waterproofing systems across retail, industrial, multifamily, healthcare, and institutional markets. The Controller will oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounting, job costing, cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to ownership and operations leadership, ensuring accurate financial visibility and supporting growth initiatives. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a construction environment.

• Oversee all accounting functions (AP, AR, payroll, GL, financial reporting)
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Lead job costing analysis and WIP reporting
• Monitor project margins and profitability
• Prepare financial statements and executive‑level reporting
• Manage cash flow forecasting and banking relationships
• Oversee bonding capacity and insurance coordination
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction accounting standards
• Partner with operations to improve cost controls and financial performance
• Implement and improve accounting systems and internal controls
• Supervise accounting staff

• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience within construction
• Strong understanding of WIP schedules and percentage‑of‑completion accounting
• Experience in commercial roofing or specialty subcontracting preferred
• Proficiency in construction accounting software (Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred but not required
• Strong analytical and leadership skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
