Loan Processing Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Loan Processing Support Specialist to help maintain pipeline health and workflow continuity across the mortgage origination lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in ensuring loans progress efficiently from Initial Disclosures through Closing and Funding while meeting quality and compliance standards.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced mortgage operations environment, takes ownership of complex issues, and proactively removes workflow bottlenecks.

• Monitor loan pipeline to identify stalled, at‑risk, or complex loans and take action to keep them moving
• Resolve loan and service exceptions end‑to‑end across multiple internal teams
• Partner closely with Mortgage Specialists and operational teams to maintain workflow continuity
• Provide coverage during staffing gaps, volume spikes, or extended absences
• Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements
• Support quality and compliance reviews through disclosure and processing scrubs
• Track performance against funding targets and initiate corrective action when needed
• Generate and analyze operational reporting related to pipeline health and aging

• Minimum 5+ years of mortgage loan processing experience
• Strong understanding of the full loan origination lifecycle
• Experience managing complex loan workflows and resolving issues across stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable proactively engaging via phone to drive resolution
• Experience with pipeline management and operational reporting

• Experience partnering with Disclosures, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, or Funding teams
• Exposure to non‑conforming or complex loan transactions
• Background in quality assurance or compliance review
• Ability to operate effectively in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment
