Director of Finance

Overview

Vaco is partnering with a company located in Phoenix to fill a Director of Finance role. Our client is seeking a proactive finance leader to oversee daily financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, project-level accounting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role will also play a key part in driving strategic planning and delivering meaningful performance insights.

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, providing insight on business planning, pricing strategy, and performance through clear variance analysis, margin reporting, and financial modeling.
• Lead financial planning and reporting processes, including budgeting, reforecasting, monthly management reporting, and performance dashboards, while ensuring accurate job costing, WIP tracking, reconciliations, and expense oversight.
• Drive operational excellence and growth support by maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness, partnering with sales on RFP pricing and margin modeling, and translating pipeline and financial data into actionable business strategies.

• Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 6+ years of experience is required.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI and other ERP systems is required.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is required to be considered.
• This role is 4 days on site with more flexibility after training for 3-6 months.

Salary $135k-$150k
