SummarySenior Tax Analyst prepares complex federal and multi‑state income tax returns, moderately complex tax calculations, analysis, and research using full knowledge of industry practices. Assists with analysis and maintenance of tax capital additions and retirements and income tax accounting. Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Researches a variety of tax issues and prepares formal tax memorandums.
Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- And 3 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA, MS in Taxation, CPA, or JD preferred.
- General knowledge of the electric utility industry and associated business issues helpful.
- Professional experience in preparing moderately complex corporate federal and multi‑state income tax returns, researching tax issues and managing tax audits.
- Experience in researching and analyzing moderately complex tax issues and communicating the results both written and orally.
This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws').
