Loan Operations Manager

What you'll do:
The Loan Operations Manager is responsible for managing the Syndications Loan Servicing team (1-5 employees) that handles Syndication Loans, Participation Loans, Corporate Finance Loans, Warehouse Loans, Municipal Loans, First Out/Last Out Loans, FX Loans, Equipment Finance Loans, Resort Finance Loans, Hotel Franchise Loans, Equity Fund Resources Loans, Interest Rate SWAPs, Trust Company Transactions, and Entertainment Finance Loans.
In this role, the Loan Operations Manager must have a focus on utilizing critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills. This role requires that you be an active thought partner and process visionary that shapes the efficiencies and ensures service level standards are achieved; all work is completed accurately and within the required timeframe/deadline; and regulatory compliance, risk management and audit standards are met.
- Oversee and manage daily workflow to ensure timely, accurate production with no service disruption, including proactive planning for vacations and other absences; monitor service levels and key performance indicators to maintain compliance, risk, and audit standards.
- Provide ongoing technical support and subject matter expertise to the team; ensure all staff are fully trained and cross trained across business lines, loan types, and products.
- Conduct in depth analysis using strong business knowledge to identify problems, develop creative solutions, and drive continuous improvement in service quality and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal partners, external clients, and stakeholders; act as liaison to assess service quality, recommend enhancements, and influence strategic decisions impacting the business.
- Lead and develop the team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and training; deliver progress reports and recommendations to management and support special projects as assigned.
- 10+ years of related experience in Loan Administration, Lending and/or Deposit Sales or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Knowledge of a variety of complex and specialty loan types.
- Project management and organizational skills; ability to create momentum, foster organizational change, and work with other members of senior management.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- Occasional travel required.
