Financial Planning Director - CFP — Phoenix, AZ | $130K–$170K Base + Bonus + Benefits

Monday–Thursday In Office / Fridays Remote

We’ve partnered with a growing wealth management platform seeking a Financial Planning Director to help rebuild and scale its advanced planning function. This is a high-visibility role for someone who enjoys technical financial planning, advisor partnership, client-facing presentations, planning technology, and building better processes. The role will work directly with senior leadership and support financial advisors with complex planning needs across investment, tax, estate, retirement, and insurance planning.

• Build and present comprehensive financial plans for advisors and clients
• Support complex high-net-worth planning needs across tax, estate, retirement, investment, and insurance strategies
• Partner directly with financial advisors to identify planning opportunities and improve client outcomes
• Own and improve planning tools, workflows, client deliverables, and service processes
• Use planning software and advanced Excel modeling for scenario analysis and projections
• Create educational content such as presentations, webinars, whitepapers, and planning frameworks
• Mentor one team member initially, with potential to help grow the planning team
• Help drive advisor adoption and confidence in the planning department

• 8+ years of financial planning experience
• CFP required
• Experience working directly with advisors and clients
• Strong presentation skills and executive presence
• High-net-worth planning experience preferred
• Experience with Money Guide Pro , eMoney, Right Capital, Holistiplan, or similar tools
• Advanced Excel modeling skills
• Strong ownership, initiative, and process improvement mindset
