About the PositionA Financial Aid Officer (FAO) I performs a variety of clerical and administrative activities for a single function (such as Pre‑Certification/Validation, Award & Package (including Non‑Federal Resource (NFR) functions), Refunds, and Disbursements) to process federal, state and other types of financial aid for University of Phoenix students. Individuals deliver high quality customer service to University students in compliance with Department of Education (ED) Title IV regulations and University policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Related Work Experience- High School Diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of a portion of student financial aid processing, Title IV and state regulations, as well as knowledge of internal policies and procedures
- General knowledge of the higher education industry
- Previous customer service and/or processing center experience
- Strong computer skills and an ability to learn proprietary software applications
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, and an ability to meet production and quality requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to convey ideas and influence outcomes
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with frequent changes to regulations, policies and procedures
