Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various tax compliance and consulting services to clients.
  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies.
  • Participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, help to draft IRS responses and address other tax authority inquiries.
  • Team with leaders on special projects in areas of corporate and flow-through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC

  • Develop recommendations for the client to consider and share with leadership to discuss and strategize.
  • Communicate and team with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in state and local, high net worth, international, research and development, credits and incentives areas.
  • Learn and grow from on-the-job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm-wide learning and development programs.
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with clients.
  • Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.
  • Foster friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, and sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state considered.
  • CPA or JD license preferred.
  • Two (2)+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
  • Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
  • Microsoft Suite skills; highly developed software proficiency.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
  • Pay range: $71,650 to $94,050. Actual compensation depends on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
