About the Role
The Loan Support Specialist II is responsible for servicing consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loan products in a high‑volume, deadline‑oriented environment. The position requires independent action, initiative, and the ability to resolve problems and develop recommendations for new assignments.
- Perform general loan maintenance, process loan payments, enter data, and create loan documents.
- Execute lien perfection, escrow/tax support, flood review, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Process moderately complex loan transactions in accordance with workflow, regulations, and policy requirements.
- Capture and report metrics to assist leadership in coordinating and adjusting daily workflow.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement efforts and collaborate on project teams across departments.
- Provide timely communication of work status and redistribute incomplete work when necessary.
- Serve as a Loan Servicing subject‑matter expert, mentor or train others, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations.
- High School diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Preferred: 2–3 years of advanced consumer, SBA, or commercial/business loan servicing experience.
- Working knowledge of consumer, SBA, and commercial/business loan products, banking, lending procedures, and related regulations.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, multi‑tasking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, and loan servicing systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume service‑oriented environment with strong attention to detail.
$18.00 – $30.00 per hour, dependent on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. Performance‑based incentive compensation may be offered.
