Job Responsibilities:
- Lead cost accounting activities across manufacturing operations including standard costing and cost tracking.
- Oversee month end close for inventory and cost of goods sold ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Analyze cost variances and identify drivers impacting margins and operational performance.
- Partner with operations teams to translate financial results into actionable insights and improve efficiency.
- Manage inventory processes including monitoring balances supporting counts and maintaining data accuracy.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- 7+ years of cost accounting experience within manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of costing methods variance analysis and inventory accounting practices.
- Possess prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting staff.
- Use Excel and enterprise systems effectively to support analysis reporting and financial modeling.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support planning and operational decision making.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve processes and strengthen data accuracy.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and analytical skills when evaluating financial performance.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non finance stakeholders.
- Bring experience in specialized manufacturing environments professional certification or process improvement initiatives considered beneficial.
