Fractional CFO

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fractional CFO based in the United States.

The role focuses on working directly with privately held business owners to strengthen financial performance and drive long-term value creation.

You will support companies in areas such as cash flow optimization, profitability improvement, strategic planning, and capital access.

The position also includes advisory work related to business transactions, including buying and selling companies.

It is a highly autonomous role where you build and manage your own client portfolio.

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to privately held business owners, supporting them in improving financial performance, cash flow management, and profitability growth.
• Provide guidance on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital strategy to enhance business stability and scalability.
• Support clients in transaction-related activities, including business valuation, acquisitions, and exit/succession planning.
• Build and manage a portfolio of multiple clients simultaneously while delivering high-impact CFO-level insights.
• Apply structured methodologies and training frameworks to identify opportunities for value creation and operational improvement across client businesses.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior financial leadership role within privately held companies in the United States.
• At least 15 years of overall professional experience after completing formal education.
• Strong track record of improving financial performance, securing funding, and driving business growth initiatives.
• Deep understanding of financial systems, strategic planning, and business valuation principles.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to influence business owners and executive stakeholders.
