TZ Recruiting is partnering with a stable, privately held construction products company in the Greater Phoenix area to identify a Director of Finance.

This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key partner to executive leadership and the board. The company is looking for a finance leader who can do more than report historical numbers. They need someone who can help tell the story behind the numbers, identify trends, improve processes, and provide actionable insight to support future growth.

The Director of Finance will lead finance, accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning across multiple related companies. This person will also manage and develop a small finance/accounting/HR team while helping modernize systems, reporting, and financial processes.

• Monthly financial reporting and board-level financial presentations
• Budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash flow analysis
• Oversight of AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, commissions, and purchasing-related accounting
• Profitability, cost structure, inventory, logistics, shipping, and business performance analysis
• ERP/accounting system improvement and process modernization
• Partnership with the CEO, executive team, outside auditors, and accounting advisors

The ideal candidate will bring progressive finance/accounting leadership experience, strong reporting and forecasting skills, and a background in manufacturing, distribution, industrial products, construction products, or a similar product-based business.

CPA is a plus, but not required. Experience with multi-company accounting, ERP transitions, Sage 50, Enterprise systems, inventory, cost of goods, logistics, international purchasing, or foreign currency exposure would be especially valuable.
