Senior Manager of FP&A

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance & FP&A to serve as a strategic business partner to executive and operational leadership. This high-impact role will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic initiatives while helping drive growth, operational excellence, and scalable finance processes across a rapidly expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational and executive leaders to drive financial performance and business decision-making.
  • Lead monthly business reviews, providing actionable analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and operational results.
  • Translate financial performance into clear business insights for leadership teams.
  • Identify key risks, opportunities, and business drivers while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate investments, pricing strategies, and business cases to support company objectives.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
  • Develop and maintain driver-based forecasting models across revenue, expenses, labor, and operational metrics.
  • Monitor business performance trends and communicate opportunities and risks to leadership.
  • Continuously improve planning processes to support organizational growth and scalability.

Executive Reporting & Strategic Analysis

  • Prepare and enhance executive reporting packages, presentations, and board-level materials.
  • Deliver financial insights and recommendations that support enterprise-wide decision-making.
  • Support senior leadership with strategic analyses, special projects, and ad hoc financial requests.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop FP&A professionals.
  • Establish best practices, analytical standards, and review processes across the function.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with finance, accounting, operations, analytics, HR, marketing, and senior leadership teams.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, business integrations, and operational improvement projects.
  • Help drive reporting automation and enhanced decision-support capabilities through collaboration with data and analytics teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Operational Finance, or related areas.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced Excel and business intelligence/reporting tool experience (Power BI preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-level storytelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment.
  • Experience supporting multi-location or operationally complex organizations.
  • Background in strategic growth initiatives, expansion projects, or acquisitions.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced business credentials preferred.
