Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance & FP&A to serve as a strategic finance leader and trusted business partner to executive and operational leadership. This high-impact role will lead forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic initiatives while developing a best-in-class FP&A function.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical expertise with leadership capabilities and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights that drive growth and profitability.

What You'll Do

Strategic Finance & Business Partnership

  • Partner with operational leaders, Area Managers, and senior executives to drive financial performance and decision-making
  • Lead monthly business reviews and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational results
  • Translate financial results into clear, executive-level business narratives
  • Identify performance drivers, risks, and opportunities while recommending solutions and strategic actions
  • Support Greenfield expansion initiatives through forecasting, profitability analysis, and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Evaluate pricing strategies, capital investments, and growth opportunities through financial modeling and business case development

Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts
  • Develop and maintain driver-based forecasting models to improve planning accuracy
  • Oversee revenue, labor, headcount, capacity, and expense planning
  • Analyze trends and proactively communicate risks and opportunities to leadership
  • Continuously improve planning processes and forecasting methodologies to support a rapidly growing organization

Executive Reporting & Strategic Insights

  • Develop executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and board presentation materials
  • Transform reporting from historical analysis to forward-looking strategic recommendations
  • Deliver executive-ready financial analyses and business insights
  • Support leadership with strategic initiatives and ad hoc financial projects

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team
  • Establish analytical standards, processes, and best practices
  • Review and elevate team deliverables before executive presentation
  • Build scalable FP&A capabilities to support future organizational growth
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, critical thinking, and continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Data Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to improve reporting automation and decision support capabilities
  • Support acquisition integration initiatives and enterprise-wide growth strategies
  • Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, Recruiting, Marketing, Fleet, and Executive Leadership teams to align planning and performance management efforts
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field

8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Operational Finance, or related disciplines

2+ years of leadership experience managing and developing finance teams

Strong experience supporting operational leaders in multi-location or field-service environments

Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills

Advanced Excel and Power BI experience

Proven ability to influence executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive storytelling skills

Preferred Experience
  • Private equity-backed or high-growth company experience
  • Multi-unit or multi-location operational experience
  • Acquisition integration and M&A support
  • Greenfield expansion, market development, or strategic growth initiatives
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced business credentials
  • Experience leading FP&A through periods of rapid growth and transformation
