Job Summary

We are hiring a full‑time Manager, Financial, Planning & Analysis to work from the corporate office in north‑central Phoenix. The role is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of financial information in compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements, and for ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Act as primary finance support and business partner by understanding business drivers and operations, providing variance analysis, and working closely with operations to develop forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop forecasts, budgets, and long‑term plans.
  • Ensure financial statements are compliant with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements, researching appropriate treatments for new transactions and providing recommendations.
  • Design, implement, and enhance financial forecasting tools and processes for annual budgets and forecasting.
  • Represent FP&A on key corporate initiatives to support business growth, and lead ad hoc projects providing objective analytical support to influence decisions.
  • Collaborate with other finance teams and stakeholders such as regulatory and billing groups.
  • Manage a team of financial analysts: recruit, develop staff, establish performance metrics, and provide career development plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes through performance monitoring and issue analysis.
  • Create and nurture a high‑performance, accountable, innovative, and customer‑focused work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA required.
  • 7+ years of FP&A experience, including full‑cycle accounting processes.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Audit and financial reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of the utility industry.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience analyzing customer needs through feedback solicitation.
  • Experience coaching direct reports and establishing career development plans.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, regulatory practices, and technical finance expertise.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems:
    Microsoft Office, spreadsheet software, Oracle, Adaptive Insights, etc.
