Investment Banking & Buy-Side Research Analyst

Position Overview:

Client is a boutique financial advisory and investment research firm. The client is seeking an experienced Buy-Side/Investment Research Analyst (6+ years) to join their clients team. Candidates must possess a strong academic background (MBA from a top-tier institute, CA, or CFA) and expertise in financial modeling, market research, transaction support, and client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

1.Financial Modeling and Valuation:
Build advanced models (DCF, LBO, M&A) and conduct company valuations (CCA, precedent transactions). Assess the financial impact of deals/transactions.

2.Investment Research:
Conduct market research, prepare investment memos, and reports. Analyze companies, industries, and macro trends to support buy-side strategies.

3.Pitchbook & Presentation Preparation:
Create pitchbooks and presentations for client meetings with financial projections and industry insights.

4.Transaction Support:
Assist in deal execution (M&A, IPOs, capital raising). Prepare key transaction documents (CIMs, term sheets) and liaise with internal and external teams.

5.Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain databases, track deal metrics, and ensure due diligence documentation is organized.

6.Client Engagement:
Support senior bankers with strategies, client communication, and tailored solutions.

7.Report Writing:
Investment memos & detailed research reports to aid decision-making.

Qualifications

MBA (top-tier), CA, or CFA.
6+ years of experience in investment banking, equity research, or buy-side roles.

Skills & Attributes

Expertise in financial modeling, valuations, and capital markets.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Bloomberg, CapIQ or Fact Set.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
