• Assist the Financial Manager with DERS sub-recipient fiscal monitors.
• Ensure fiscal compliance with grant-specific requirements, uniform guidance, and federal regulations.
• Provide technical assistance to sub-recipients, internal staff, and stakeholders.
• Assist with the annual allocation of funds and during Federal and State audits.
• Participate in developing a standardized risk assessment tool and evaluate subrecipient risk.
• Review budgets and prepare financial analysis reports.
• Travel within Arizona to conduct fiscal monitors and support grant subrecipients.

• 1-2 years of experience in financial, budget, accounting, or audit work.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Access).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret federal and state regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and time management abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, or business administration.
• Master's degree in business or public administration.
