The Regulatory Specialist plays an integral role in upholding and strengthening Lennar Mortgage's Compliance Management Program. As a member of the Compliance Department, the position serves as a resource to business partners across the organization by providing regulatory guidance, identifying and mitigating risk, and promoting adherence to federal and state mortgage regulations and company policies.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Research, interpret, and communicate federal and state regulatory requirements to business partners across the organization
  • Collaborate with Compliance team members and business partners on enterprise-wide projects, training, and other compliance initiatives
  • Review consumer-facing advertisements and provide regulatory guidance to the Marketing Department
  • Utilize Lennar Mortgage’s loan origination software, Encompass, to investigate loan-level issues
  • Research compliance-related inquiries from various lines of business and provide accurate and timely responses
  • Conduct transaction testing and monitoring of loan samples to identify risks and control weaknesses
  • Report findings to management, recommend corrective actions, and support business partners in remediation efforts
  • Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging guidance to evaluate business impact and implementation requirements
  • Draft, review, and maintain company policies, procedures, training materials, and other resources
  • Leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) tools, while adhering to company governance and security requirements
  • Prepare for and assist with federal and/or state examinations as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of mortgage compliance experience

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, TILA, UDAAP, ATR/QM, TRID, MAP, CAN-SPAM, SCRA, and TCPA
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply regulations to business activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage workload, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Knowledge of ICE Mortgage Technology Solutions, specifically Encompass preferred
  • Experience conducting Fair Lending reviews, including redlining analysis, matched-pair testing, or related monitoring activities preferred
  • Ability to prepare and/or submit regulatory reports, such as quarterly HMDA Loan Application Register data and Mortgage Call Reports (MCRs) preferred
