Mortgage Loan Officer

The Loan Officer is responsible for working with motivated borrowers, leveraging a robust suite of programs, including non-agency products, reduced documentation options, and customized lending solutions tailored to meet a wide variety of borrower needs, from self-employed buyers to real estate investors and beyond.

• Build trusted relationships with borrowers by understanding their needs and providing tailored loan solutions.
• Respond quickly to high-quality, warm leads, no cold calling required.
• Educate borrowers on available options, qualifying criteria, and next steps with full transparency and urgency.
• Accurately quote eligible pricing options for borrowers.
• Match each borrower with the most appropriate solution, even in complex scenarios.
• Perform thorough needs analysis and documentation reviews to reduce errors and post- underwriting conditions.
• Take personal ownership of file quality by ensuring they are complete, compliant, and accurate.
• Work collaboratively with processors and support staff to ensure a smooth closing.
• Provide a seamless, high-touch experience from application to close.
• Stay up to date on lending guidelines, market trends, and compliance standards.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years mortgage origination experience in a direct lending environment.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems.
• Ability to manage and maintain a pipeline.
• NMLS SAFE ACT compliant. If not state licensed, willingness to take training and if applicable, the state license tests and pass a background test.
• Familiarity with non-QM, bank statement, DSCR, ITIN, or investor loan programs preferred.
• Experience working with reduced documentation loans or self-employed borrowers preferred.
• Working knowledge of industry tools, such as a CRM, POS, and LOS preferred.
