Finance Manager – FP&A | PE-Backed Healthcare Services Leader | Phoenix, AZ
We're partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed healthcare services company to find their next Finance Manager. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility FP&A seat with a direct line to executive leadership at a company experiencing serious momentum.
About the Company
Our client is a national healthcare services leader, operating across more than a dozen states with a mission-driven, people-first culture. Backed by top-tier private equity sponsors, the organization has scaled revenue into hundreds of millions and continues to grow through acquisition, organic expansion, and new market entry. This is a business with real staying power with a leadership team that's building for a strong future.
The Opportunity
This is an individual contributor role with real weight behind it. As Finance Manager, you'll own the full P&L for an assigned region, acting as a true business partner to operational and executive leadership rather than just a report-builder. While there are no direct reports, you'll carry a high level of accountability - fielding questions directly from senior leadership and serving as a strong right hand to the Finance Director.
You'll lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close narrative for your area, build and refine financial models that hold up to real-world scrutiny, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for decision-makers - including input that shapes conversations with lenders and the board. You'll also help elevate reporting processes and mentor junior analysts as the FP&A function matures.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end forecasting, budgeting, and close reporting for your region, with full P&L accountability
- Partner directly with regional and corporate leadership on a recurring cadence to drive alignment and accountability
- Serve as a key point of accountability for senior leadership, despite no formal direct reports
- Build and govern financial models and analytical frameworks used across the team
- Deliver polished financial narratives and recommendations for senior leadership, lenders, and PE stakeholders
- Identify and lead process improvements that scale with company growth
- Support ad hoc strategic work including new market analysis and acquisition-related modeling
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of progressive finance/FP&A experience, ideally with exposure to companies in the $150M-$800M revenue range
- Strong financial modeling and full P&L forecasting experience - not just revenue or headcount planning
- A self-starter who thrives with autonomy and doesn't need heavy oversight
- Sharp analytical instincts paired with genuine curiosity and strong follow-through
- Comfort presenting to and influencing senior and executive stakeholders
- Private equity-backed company experience is a plus, but not required
Why You'll Love It Here
- High-impact, high-visibility role with direct access to senior finance and operations leadership
- A dynamic, evolving function where your input directly shapes how the team operates
- Genuine autonomy - leadership trusts you to own your work and run with it
- A collaborative, laid-back, family-oriented culture
- Real growth trajectory as the company continues to expand
