Salary:
Depending on experience:

• With Bachelor's degree $60,000-$63,000
• With Master's degree $63,000-$66,000

• Gains an understanding of the fiduciary roles and responsibilities of acountytreasurer’soffice,whichoperatessimilar toa financialor banking institution for local governments, by managing and investing public fund sunder state law.

• Conductsfieldworkatcountytreasurer’sofficesthroughout the State toexaminecompliance withthe
  
  Uniform Accounting for Arizona County Treasurers(UAMACT).

• Examine the county treasurer office’sinternal control frameworkwhichincludes:the control environment,risk assessment, internal control activities, information and communication, and monitoring withinacounty treasurer’s office.

• Research best practices, laws and regulations, and other applicable resources related to the county treasurer offices under review.

• Evaluates essential IT systems, specifically for county treasurer offices financial systems.

• Helpsmake impactful recommendations tocountytreasurer’soffices to promote better government and make a positive difference.

• Follows up on recommendations annually to examine progress and determine if recommendations are implemented.

• A bachelor’s degree, in finance, economics, business, business management, or a related field is required.

• Entry-level positions will involve training under senior examiners.

• Strong interest in public service and improving State government.

• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail,proficiency with computer software, and excellent communication for interviewing personnel.

• Prior experience with banking institutions, internal audit functions, or county treasurer operations (preferred).

• Must have valid Arizona driver's license.
