The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an expert in policy administration to become the Policy Program Administrator. This position is the Administrator of the policy unit, responsible for overseeing the development of policies and written instructions for the Arizona Department of Corrections, Reentry and Rehabilitation. Ensures the efficiency and integrity of the policy system through the development and implementation of process guidelines, ongoing collaborative communication with executive leadership, and facilitation of subject matter expert teams to advise on policy development.
Also supervises policy unit staff managing workflow processes.
- Researches and writes policy documents and correspondence on behalf of Agency leadership
- Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of historical and restricted policies and documents
- Manages and oversees daily operations of the Policy Unit
- Supervises assigned staff, including workload distribution, performance management, coaching, and employee development
- Establishes operational priorities, procedures, and workflow processes
- Develops and implements process improvements
- Monitors unit productivity and performance metrics
- Establishes expectations and goals for programs and staff
- Participates in organizational planning, restructuring initiatives, and special projects related to policy unit operations
- Provides training to agency subject matter experts on the policy process and facilitates subject matter expert teams to advise on policy development
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
