The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $24.05 to $24.46.This position is non-exempt under the FLSA.

About the Position The Judicial Threat Coordinator manages all threats to Judicial Branch facilities, judicial officers, and court staff. The Judicial Threat Coordinator provides case management, conducts safety assessments, and develops security plans. The Judicial Threat Coordinator investigates cases, creates and distributes Informational or "Be on the Look Out" (BOLO) flyers, and utilizes the Judicial Branch Security Department’s (JBSD) Threat Management Database to perform data entry and track and monitor the status of threats.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

One (1) year of security operations and threat intelligence experienceORCombined education and experience qualifications:

Experience with threat management in security, law enforcement, military, or public safety environment may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis

Our Preferred Candidate has:

Experience with workplace violence prevention threat assessment/management

Experience with investigating and managing threat caseloads

Experience interacting with law enforcement agencies and investigators

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of:

Principles, practices, and techniques used in court security, including security awareness

State laws, statutes, department post, general orders, court orders, policies, and procedures, including rights of citizens, search and seizure rules, and rules of evidence

Skill in:

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

Preparing clear and concise records, reports, correspondence, and other written materials

Effective oral and written communication

Creating innovative ways to mitigate risk by identifying gaps and proposing solutions

Ability to:

Read, understand, interpret, explain, and strictly apply applicable laws, ordinances, policies, court orders, and regulations

Exercise sound judgment within general policy guidelines
