Water Services SROG & AWP Program Manager

About This Position

The City of Phoenix Water Services Department is seeking a skilled Program Manager to support both the Sub Regional Operating Group (SROG) and the City's Advanced Water Purification (AWP) / Pure Water Phoenix program. This position blends technical project and contract management with oversight of public relations and communications to support these two major Water Service Department programs.

• Manage SROG process and procedures to ensure a collaborative program of supporting the 91st Ave Wastewater Facility with our partners.
• Support Pure Water Phoenix program coordination activities related to communications and public outreach.
• Oversee contracts for public relations, community engagement, and communications supporting the Pure Water Program.
• Coordinate with internal staff, consultants, and partner cities/utilities/organizations to ensure clear and accurate messaging.
• Support technical, regulatory, financial/budgetary and contract management activities across both programs.
• Prepare reports, budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Participate in negotiations, community meetings, and regulatory discussions.
• Act as Liaison between staff and partner entities and organizations in support of SROG, Pure Water Phoenix and related initiatives.

• Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.
• Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease.
• Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.

• Five years of professional experience in program and project management, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
