About This PositionThe Project Management Assistant position provides professional-level support and assistance in the management and implementation of economic development programs and initiatives including business retention and expansion, business attraction, and redevelopment and real estate development projects.
Currently, there is one vacancy for a Project Management Assistant in the Community and Economic Development Department's Community Development Division, with a focus on the downtown redevelopment projects, property management, and other strategic revitalization initiatives. This position supports the Community Development Division's efforts to coordinate economic development and redevelopment projects, programs and initiatives that attract new capital investments, broaden the City's economic base, and create quality jobs for the community.

- Managing and monitoring contracts
- Tracking and reporting performance metrics
- Monitoring budgets
- Developing written and statistical reports to summarize activity
- Administrative and clerical tasks as assigned
- Property management and contract performance monitoring
- Conducting solicitations for consultant and developer proposals
- Providing research and analysis
- Coordinating with local businesses, government entities, property owners, development representatives and the media.
The incumbent will work in collaboration with internal staff and external customers, and should possess knowledge of Phoenix ordinances, codes, policies and development processes.
IDEAL CANDIDATE- Ability to work cooperatively with City employees and multiple stakeholders.
Pay Range: $64,313.60 to $99,736.00 annually.
Hiring Range: $64,313.60 to $86,153.60 annually.

- Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
- Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.
- Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease.
- Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.
- When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may also be a change to your classification or unit.
