District of Arizona - Phoenix, AZ The selectee of this position serves as a Lead Investigative Analyst. You will be responsible for leading a team of Investigative Analysts. Duties include coaching, teaching, and mentoring a team of Investigative Analyst in gathering, researching and analyzing a variety of intelligence data; evaluating, processing, coordinating, and monitoring a variety of warrants, criminal and civil documents;

and identifying and resolving problems.

GS-11
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-1805-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:
Specialized

Experience:

At least one year (52 weeks) of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level in the federal service performing duties which includes:

  • 1) gathering and analyzing various types of criminal data from Federal, state, local or public agencies;
  • 2) monitoring, evaluating and coordinating a variety of warrants and/or court orders (i.e., for escape prisoners, parole and probation violations, bond defaults, judge's rulings, etc.);
  • 3) utilizing a variety of law enforcement related databases to obtain, monitor and update appropriate information for investigations, warrants, prisoner data, etc.;
  • 4) assessing team effectiveness and making recommendations to improve efficacy of work products.

OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position. Examples of qualifying fields include:
Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Psychology, etc. (Must submit Transcripts)
OR
Combination of

Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience as described above. (Must submit Transcripts)
