AUDITOR GENERAL

The Arizona Auditor General serves as an independent source of impartial information concerning State and local governmental entities and provides specific recommendations to improve the operations of those entities. Financial Auditor I Address: 2910 N. 44th St. Phoenix, AZ 85018 Salary:
  • With Bachelor's degree $60,000-$63,000
  • With Master's degree $63,000-$66,000
  • With CPA $66,000-$69000
What You'll Do:
  • Help conduct financial and compliance audits of State agencies, counties, universities, and community college districts following AICPA's generally accepted auditing standards, the U.S. GAO's Government Auditing Standards, and other federal auditing requirements.
  • Occasionally travel out of town to conduct audits.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree with 24 completed semester hours of accounting.
  • Strong interest in public service and improving State government.
  • Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Must have valid Arizona's driver's license and reliable transportation.
