ScheduleMonday through Thursday from 7:30pm to 4:30am. Call with rotate 2 to 3 days per month.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will be covering all areas that include Radiography, Surgery, General X‑ray, and Fluoroscopy. This position performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for 4 Ultrasound certifications.
Core Functions- Performs exams by following and verifying referring providers’ orders, adhering to established protocols, and providing all pertinent patient information to the Radiologist for complete dictation. Uses independent judgement and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for all ultrasound exams. Scanning competencies should include all patient ages, acuity levels, and classes, independently and without quality issues. Achieves image capture under the most challenging situations.
Performs problem solving, triages orders and effectively communicates findings with the Radiologist. Produces efficient images with high quality output. Leads ultrasound team in absence of team lead or manager. Anticipates and calmly resolves complex issues. Performs ultrasound guided procedures and works closely with the radiologist or provider. - Educates patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Fosters teamwork, ensures efficient use of resources and advocates for quality patient outcomes which aid in diagnosis and care plan. Communicates in a professional manner with patients consistent with Banner core values.
- Serves as a subject matter expert within their 4 registries, may present quarterly to team at staff meetings and participate in other opportunities to improve quality.
- Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Performs troubleshooting and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Facilitates and follows up on repairs and maintenance as needed on equipment and supplies. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
- Consistently documents findings in a professional and clear manner. Follows standardized protocols without variation. Captures high quality images in the standardized format. Ensures patient questions are answered in a timely manner. Possesses experience needed to decipher between incorrect and correct order and advocates on behalf of patient to ensure exam performed will provide a diagnostic answer supporting continued care.
