Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) is seeking a dynamic, independently licensed Clinical Director to lead our Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic
, serving individuals experiencing homelessness across the Valley.
This is more than a clinic leadership role — it’s an opportunity to shape clinical services that help people move from crisis to stability, from homelessness to housing, and from survival to recovery.

What You’ll DoAs Clinical Director, you will provide clinical, administrative, and operational leadership for the outpatient clinic while maintaining a small caseload to stay connected to direct client care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead daily clinic operations ensuring safe, effective, and compliant service delivery
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to unlicensed staff (BHTs, BHPPs, etc.)
- Maintain a limited caseload of high-acuity clients
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, AHCCCS, and licensing standards
- Lead documentation quality and clinical best practices
- Develop and support staff through training and coaching
- Strengthen community partnerships and represent CASS in behavioral health networks
- Drive quality improvement and program development efforts
- Serve as on-site clinical authority during clinic hours
We’re seeking a confident, collaborative clinical leader who can balance program management with compassionate care.
Required Qualifications- Independently licensed with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience providing clinical supervision and oversight
- Knowledge of Medicaid/AHCCCS and behavioral health documentation standards
- Experience working with high-acuity or vulnerable populations
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing policies, procedures, or programs
- Experience serving individuals experiencing homelessness or co-occurring conditions is highly valued.

- Standard schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM - Occasional evening/weekend support as needed
- Work occurs in clinic and community settings
- Local travel may be required

RequirementsRequired:
- Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Independent clinical licensure in Arizona (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist).
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience working with adults including high-acuity populations.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory and administrative experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience providing clinical oversight and supervision to unlicensed staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.
Preferred
- Experience working in homeless services or shelter-based programs.
