Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys working with children and making a daily impact?
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated PTA to support students with physical, cognitive, and behavioral challenges in a dynamic school-based environment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help students improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence throughout their school day.

- Provide consultative and direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Deliver gross motor interventions in classrooms, playgrounds, and aquatic settings
- Monitor and report changes in student status to supervising PT
- Complete daily treatment notes, data collection, and progress documentation
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support therapeutic and educational goals
- Train classroom staff on safe lifting, transfers, and adaptive equipment use
- Inspect and maintain therapy and adaptive equipment
- Submit Medicaid billing and maintain attendance/contact records
- Participate in school meetings, in‑services, and professional development
- Support therapy department materials, projects, and initiatives
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Current, active Arizona PTA license prior to employment
- Completion of 2,000 hours of onsite supervision
- Ability to obtain an AHCCCS Medicaid billing
- Reliable transportation to travel between Phoenix‑area campuses
- Negative TB test within three months prior to start
- Successful completion of drug screening
- Valid fingerprint clearance card or ability to complete state‑level fingerprint background check
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and hands‑on student support
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently
- Ability to assist with lifting or moving a student’s body weight with support
- Visual and auditory abilities sufficient for safe therapy delivery
- School‑based setting with moderate to loud noise levels
- May work with students exhibiting challenging or physically aggressive behaviors
- Team‑focused, student‑centered environment
