What you'll do:

The Companion Care Scheduler plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our Companion Care program. In this role, you will manage scheduling, maintain accurate client records, assist with billing, and serve as a primary point of coordination for caregivers and residents. As needed, you may also provide direct care as a PRN Companion Caregiver.

Scheduling & Coordination
  • Create and maintain schedules that meet resident needs and uphold quality-of-care standards.
  • Fill open shifts promptly and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments to support the companion care team.
Resident Care & Support
  • Provide personal care services including companionship, errand support, and medication checks - according to each resident’s Service Plan.
  • Maintain professional, positive interactions with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and outside agencies.
  • Uphold and promote resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality in accordance with facility policies, Resident Rights Regulations, and HIPAA.
Documentation & Service Plans
  • Complete and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Monitor caregiver documentation and address discrepancies or errors as needed.
  • Track all services performed and ensure Service Plans are followed accurately.
  • Initiate new Service Plans by orienting residents and securing required approvals.
  • Update Service Plans and report resident status changes to the supervisor as needed.
Caregiver Support & Oversight
  • Ensure caregivers have completed new‑hire training, required documentation, and appropriate scheduling for on‑the‑floor training and shadowing.
  • Monitor caregiver performance to ensure services are delivered thoroughly and in accordance with policy.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of resident expectations and ensure those needs are met compassionately and professionally.

Who you are:
  • Caregiver/Med Tech Certificate from the state of Arizona
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and document care
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, turn, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds in providing care to residents and in performing administrative tasks.
  • Prior clerical and software system management experience preferred
  • Data entry, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, file maintenance, strong organizational and accuracy skills are required
