Position Summary

This position performs a variety of direct patient care services to assist in the implementation of selected portions of the care plan as directed and supervised by a Clinical Nurse.

• Collects and records routine patient data to ensure ongoing accuracy of the patient chart.
• Performs basic patient care activities to provide optimal comfort and safety.
• Fosters a positive learning environment by modeling best practices, mentoring students and new employees.
• Identifies and reports unusual findings to the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Maintains inventory levels of stock items, supplies, and equipment.
• Participates in in‑service programs, meetings, conferences, and care rounds.
• Performs activities to maintain the unit's environment.
• Provides orientation on unit and hospital systems and processes.
• Reinforces patient/family education of basic technical procedures and daily living activities.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.

Experience: Patient care experience (Preferred).

Additional Requirements:

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Current Arizona EMT/Paramedic Certification OR successful completion of the clinical nursing skills portion of an accredited nursing program (RN within 2 years of hire).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association prior to start date.

• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain within 120 days of hire.
