Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Specialty Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for performing patient evaluations, reviewing pretreatment teaching, recommending therapeutic interventions, counseling patients and families, and collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide direct care interventions within the scope of practice for physician's assistants.

Every day, you will serve as the primary point of contact and manage the care for patients, including meticulous assessment, communication, and collaboration with physicians and other providers to ensure comprehensive, high‑quality, patient‑centered care within your specialized area.

To be successful, you will strategically manage comprehensive patient care, perform evaluations, recommend therapeutic interventions, counsel patients and families, and demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency. You will act as the primary point of contact for patient management and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes within the defined scope of practice.

• Perform patient evaluations, review pretreatment teaching, recommend therapeutic interventions, counsel patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to provide direct care interventions.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop plans for the patient and their family.
• Gather complete patient history and perform complete or focused physical examinations; complete discharge summaries and maintain documentation on patient visits.

Required

• Certification as Physician Assistant from Arizona Joint Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners
• Background in pre‑med
• Bachelor's Degree as a Physician Assistant
• Three (3) years clinical experience in related area or specialty field
• DEA: AZ

Preferred

• Masters of Physician Assistant
