Director of Pharmacy Coverage - Hospital Management - AZ

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.

We are looking for a skilled and mitted Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead our essential pharmacy team at a behavioral hospital in the Phoenix area. In this temporary role, you'll be responsible for supervising our pharmacy operations, including the management of staff and the safe, efficient delivery of oral and psychotropic medications to our patients.

Location: Glendale, AZ

Facility: Small Behavioral Hospital Pharmacy

Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts

Coverage Dates: Start week of September 9th; anticipated duration of about 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including order verification and ADC refills
• Manage a team consisting of 1 pharmacist and 1 pharmacy technician
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
• Utilize Pyxis for site automation
• Provide technical support, including filling orders and delivery
• Ensure pliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Arizona Pharmacist License required
• Proven experience in hospital management; experience with outpatient clinics and surgical hospitals preferred
• Ability to manage pharmacy staff effectively and efficiently
• Strong organizational and munication skills
