OR Assistant

The Orthopedic Surgery Center of Arizona is a specialty inpatient hospital focused on orthopedic and spinal surgery. The Center seeks a full‑time OR Assistant to support operating room procedures.

Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with patient monitors, setting up and tearing down equipment, and aiding in turnover and stocking of surgical supplies.

• Adheres to center policies and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
• Follows peri‑operative nursing care standards, policies, and objectives.
• Follows Universal Protocol.
• Maintains aseptic technique and good body mechanics.
• Provides appropriate care for patients across all age groups.
• Follows OSHA and blood‑borne pathogen protection standards.
• Participates in professional growth activities.
• Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
• Stays calm and functions as a team member during stressful situations.
• Reports day‑to‑day issues to the Manager.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current CPR or BLS. CNA, MA or other certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical competency.
