Job Summary:

Cigna is seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations during a pharmacy system transition. The pharmacist will be trained on the existing pharmacy system to help verify prescriptions while the permanent team transitions to a new platform. This role requires a pharmacist who can accurately interpret prescriptions, verify medications, counsel patients, and work efficiently in a high-volume pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Interpret physicians' prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Verify prescription orders using the existing pharmacy system.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Resolve complex medication-related issues and customer concerns.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Support pharmacy workflow during the system migration.
• Process a high volume of prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and healthcare providers.
• Perform other pharmacy duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current Arizona Pharmacist License is required before start date.
• Experience as a Staff Pharmacist in a retail, mail-order, specialty, or PBM pharmacy.
• Ability to process high prescription volumes with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new pharmacy systems.
• Strong multitasking and teamwork skills.
• 100% onsite in Scottsdale, AZ.
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Fast-paced pharmacy environment.
• Temporary assignment supporting a pharmacy system conversion.
• Training provided on the legacy pharmacy system.
