The Health Care Compliance Officer - Long Term Care works for the Arizona Department of Health Services Division of Public Health Licensing Services, conducting inspections and investigations of licensed long-term care facilities to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The role involves reviewing quality systems, issuing licenses, responding to complaints, and providing technical assistance to regulated facilities and providers.
Key qualifications- Knowledge of federal regulations and Arizona Administrative Code related to licensed facilities
- Experience interpreting professional literature and regulations with strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to conduct inspections and investigations independently and problem-solve root causes
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Associate's degree with experience in a licensed/regulated setting or regulatory agency (preferred)
- Professional license to practice in Arizona or eligibility for reciprocity (preferred)
