This leadership role provides oversight for a Sports Physical Therapy Clinic(s). Responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, supporting day‑to‑day operations, and advancing initiatives to improve quality, patient experience, and overall efficiency. Ensures consistent delivery of patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, and Phoenix Children’s standards and requirements.

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with departmental standards, emphasizing evidence‑based care in sports rehabilitation. Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of injuries and sports/orthopedic diagnoses. Possess skills to apply age and sport appropriate principles to all aspects of care. Maintain appropriate, compliant, and timely documentation. Maintain productivity expectations and high standards for clinical quality, documentation, and patient outcomes.
  
  Serve as a clinical resource for staff.
• Provide on‑site leadership for daily clinic operations and personnel issues, including staffing coverage, patient scheduling, and workflow optimization. Monitor and address performance metrics (productivity, patient experience, quality measures) and collaborate with leadership to address operational needs. Lead staff engagement, performance management, and conflict resolution. Perform administrative tasks such as signing timecards, regulatory compliance, and incident reports. Identify opportunities to enhance clinical programs and processes.
  
  Participate in leadership meetings and departmental initiatives.
• Support staff onboarding, competency development, and ongoing mentorship. Screen and interview candidates for open positions. Conduct regular check‑ins, annual reviews, and provide performance feedback. Foster a positive team culture focused on engagement and patient experience.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited University.

1. Three or more years of clinical experience in a Sports/Orthopedic setting.

2. Previous Supervisory/Management experience.
Preferred

1. AZ Physical Therapy license or Physical Therapy license with compact license privileges in Arizona, prior to start date.

2. Possess American Heart Association’s BLS certification prior to start date.
Required
3. Holds, or is eligible to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) to render and bill for independent professional services prior to start date.

4. APTA Specialty Certification in Sports (SCS) and/or Orthopedics (OCS).
