E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85012 (main campus - inpatient & outpatient pharmacies); may also include the 32nd Street Outpatient Pharmacy.
Duration: 1 year with the possibility of up to four (4) one-year options
Start Date: ASAP upon completion of credentialing

Schedule:
Facility operates 24/7.
Shift types include:
- Day shift: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
- Evening shift: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Overnight shifts: 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Built as 8-, 11-, or 12-hour shifts
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
- Full working shift on your feet, with one 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks built in
Credentialing/Onboarding Time: 6-8 weeks
License &
Certifications:
Unrestricted pharmacist license (any U.S. state, territory, or DC - no history of restriction, suspension, or revocation)
- BLS
Education: Pharm.
D. or B.S. Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program.
Experience Needed: Retail pharmacy experience required.
Special Skills Needed:
- Comfortable working high-volume verification (1,000 prescriptions/day).
- Able to stand for the full duration of a shift.
- Works well within a team of checking pharmacists.
- Sharp, fast, accurate final review of technician-filled prescriptions.
- Serve as the checking pharmacist, verifying prescriptions filled by pharmacy technicians for accuracy, dosage, and appropriateness.
- Handle a facility volume of approximately 1,000 prescriptions per day.
- Remain standing throughout the shift, with one 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
- Work alongside other pharmacists sharing the checking workload, you will not be the only checker on duty.
