BUMCP Perianesthesia is an outpatient and inpatient procedural department that cares for a diverse patient population ranging in age from 16 to Geriatric, with a variety of procedures being performed. Surgeries performed in the OR include but are not limited to:
General, Robotics, GYN, Laparoscopic cases, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology, Orthopedic, OMFS, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and Trauma.
This position cares for patients in the preoperative and postoperative settings, and recovers patients from other procedural areas, including MRI, Special Procedures, Endoscopy, and Cardiac Cath Lab.

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on‑going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
