As the Vital Records & Decedent Services Program Manager, you will plan, organize, direct, and manage the Office of Vital Registration and the seven satellite public service sites in accordance with the Arizona State Statutes, Arizona Administrative Code, and all applicable federal health, records & data reporting requirements.

- Five years of progressively responsible experience in a Vital Registration environment, which includes at least two years in a supervisory role
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Postgraduate degrees or professional-level-related experience may substitute for education or experience on a year-for-year basis
- Must possess or can obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by the time of hire.
- Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check
- Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
- Travel will be required to attend conferences, training, and possibly varying work locations
- Master’s degree in public health, Public Administration, Health Administration, Health Management, or closely related field
- Three or more years’ experience in public health programming or health administration
- Experience in grants management and budget development
