Active professional license in good standing in at least one of the following:

Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic or high-pressure environments.
Experience conducting therapeutic conversations, crisis support, or behavioral health interventions.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Experience supporting research studies, user research, clinical trials, or human-subject research.
- Familiarity with simulation-based training environments.
- Experience working with performers, actors, healthcare professionals, first responders, or technology organizations.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
- Experience with participant safety monitoring and debrief facilitation.
Seeking licensed mental health professionals to support engineers, researchers, and professional actors participating in real-world simulation studies and research initiatives.
Hired individuals will play a critical role in maintaining participant well-being, monitoring emotional and psychological safety, and providing support during complex, high-intensity, or emotionally demanding simulation environments.
Therapists will collaborate closely with research teams, operational staff, and actors to ensure simulations are conducted ethically, safely, and effectively while promoting a positive participant experience.
Part Time
Schedule:
2-3 full days per week (between Mon – Saturday)

9AM-6PM

Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and wellness guidance to professional actors and research participants before, during, and after simulation activities.
- Monitor participant well-being throughout research studies and identify individuals who may require intervention or additional support.
- Conduct brief wellness check-ins, debrief sessions, and emotional recovery conversations following simulations.
- Advise research and engineering teams on participant safety considerations and best practices.
- Assess and respond appropriately to emotional distress, anxiety, fatigue, or other participant concerns.
- Support the development of protocols that promote psychological safety during testing and simulation exercises.
- Document observations and maintain records in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve participant experience and study design.
