Ultrasound Technician
Performs a wide range of complex ultrasound procedures and studies. Includes obstetrical/gynecological, abdominal, vascular, small parts, cranial, transthoracic, and trans esophageal, and cardiology exams.
Correlates clinical history of patients, pertinent clinical data, lab tests and other ancillary diagnostic exams to determine and obtain ultrasound exams of optimal clinical value.
Receives and positions patients for exams, explains procedures to conduct ultrasound examinations, adjusts techniques and equipment as necessary to obtain a superior imaging exam.
Serves as a clinical instructor for students from certain colleges, schools of ultrasound. Provides clinical instruction and technical imagining training for Diagnostic Medical Sonography students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
